Porsche’s goal for 2024 is to enhance reliability in longer-distance races, with LMDh Factory Director Urs Kuratle describing pre-season testing at Daytona and Austin’s Circuit of the Americas as a success. However, acknowledging the unpredictable nature of a 24-hour race, Kuratle admitted that uncertainties persist, emphasizing the need for caution and readiness.
Despite the challenges inherent in endurance racing, Diuguid conveyed confidence in the team’s preparations. He emphasized the focus on controllable factors, such as testing, validation, and reliability updates. Acknowledging that unexpected events can occur during a 24-hour race, he assured that the team has invested significant effort in enhancing reliability, particularly in hybrid components, expressing increased confidence in the car’s overall reliability.
